Striker Sold

"WORKSOP Town have sold striker Ben Tomlinson to League Two side Macclesfield Town for an undisclosed five-figure fee.

Tomlinson notched 29 goals last season, to add to the 17 he scored in the previous two seasons after coming through the Under 19 set-up at the club.

The 21-year-old from Dinnington was watched by a number of professional clubs last season, and Tigers boss Martin McIntosh said he didn’t want to stand between the striker and a potential move into the professional game..."
